Day-To-Day Driving Tips:

  • Use cruise control only on dry surfaces, slippery surfaces can lead to dangerous situations 
  • Always wear your seatbelt whether you are driving or riding as a passenger
  • Ensure that your vehicle’s tires are properly inflated
  • Avoid operating a vehicle when fatigued
  • Only warm up your vehicle outdoors, avoid enclosed areas
  • Always keep at least a half tank of gas in your vehicle in the event of an emergency
  • In icy, wet, or snowy conditions, avoid using your parking brake
  • Always keep an emergency kit in your vehicle
  • Look and steer where you want your vehicle to go

Long/ Short Road Trip Driving Tips: 

  • Always be sure to service your vehicle before taking a road trip
  • Check weather reports for potential weather conditions that may cause issues 
  • Check road conditions and construction to ensure a safe, smooth trip 
  • Always keep at least a half tank of gas in your vehicle in the event of an emergency
  • Always keep an emergency kit in your vehicle
  • Properly inflate your tires before hitting the road
